Fein gearbeitete Büste der Isis auf ovaler Platte, die wiederum auf ei- nem kleinen quaderförmigen Block befestigt ist. Die Göttin trägt auf dem Haupt die stilisierte hörnerne Krone, die die Sonnenscheibe hält, eines der typischen Attribute dieser ägyptischen Gottheit, deren Kult auch im Römischen Reich großen Anklang fand. Finely carved bust of Isis on an oval plate, which in turn is attached to a small rectangular block. The goddess wears on her head the stylized horned crown holding the sun disk, one of the typical attributes of this Egyptian deity, whose cult was widespread in the Roman Empire. Ac- quired from art dealers and German private collectors in the 1970s and 1980s. 251574 II - € 320 1722 Bacchus-Büstenapplike, Bronze, römisch, 2. - 3. Jhdt. Büstenapplike des jugendlichen Bacchus mit leicht nach links gedreh- tem Kopf. Auf kleinem profilierten Podest befindet sich ein Blüten- kelch, aus dem die Büste des Weingottes herauswächst. Eine Krone aus Blüten und stilisierten Weintrauben schmückt sein Haupt. Die Augen ursprünglich in Silber eingelegt. Rechte Schulter und Brust sind unbe- kleidet, über die linke Schulter fällt ein Gewand mit Resten von Versil- berung. Im Rücken ein starker, hakenförmiger Streben. Das Podest unten hohl zur Aufnahme eines Ständers. Bronzevollguss mit schöner hellgrüner Patina, am Rücken grau. Höhe 11,5 cm. Das Objekt war mutmaßlich an einem Dreifuß montiert, d.h. am Streben dürfte die Schüssel befestigt gewesen sein. Die Auswahl des Bildtypus verweist auf die Beliebtheit des Kultes im kaiserzeitlichen Imperium Romanum. Provenienz: Aus süddeutscher Privatsammlung. A Roman bronze appliqué of Bacchus, 2nd - 3rd century Bronze appliqué of the youthful Bacchus with head slightly turned to the left. On a small profiled pedestal there is a calyx fromwhich the bust of the wine god grows out. A crown of flowers and stylized grapes adorns his head. The eyes originally inlaid in silver. The right shoulder and chest are undressed, the left shoulder is covered by a garment with remains of silver plating. A strong, hook-shaped strut at the back. The platform hollow at the bottom to hold a stand. Bronze full casting with beautiful light green patina, grey at the back. Height 11.5 cm. The object was presumably mounted on a tripod. Lange Eselsohren und zottelige Haar- und Barttracht kennzeichnen den Kopf als Satyrn. Fein ausgearbeitete, eindrucksvolle Kleinbronze mit einem Befestigungs- loch mittig über dem Kopf. Hinten hohl. Jhdt. Große Henkelöse mit bärtigem, detailreich ausgearbeitetem Satyrkopf. Die Maske besitzt auf der Rückseite eine leichte Biegung, die für eine Anbringung an einem größeren Bronzegefäß spricht.
