A German matchlock musket, circa 1630 Octagonal, slightly tapered barrel with smooth bore in 17.5 mm calibre. Original armoury muzzle protector of pewter and wood inserted in the muzzle. At the breech two deeply struck uninterpreted marks. Rectangular pan with flash guard and swivelling lid. The lock plate marked “SK”, cock with original match. Beech wood full stock with surrounding deco- rative double lines, simple iron furniture. Original wooden ramrod with iron tip. Length 168 cm.
