| 135 A pair of chiselled flintlock pistols with iron mountings, Zella St. Blasii, Saxony, circa 1750 Round, smooth barrels in 13.5 mm calibre dec- orated with cut rocailles and hunting scenes at the breech, with midribs and silver front sights. Iron flintlocks with deeply cut tendrils and ro- cailles, and maker’s mark “I E K” between the arms of the frizzen springs. Finely carved stocks of light-coloured walnut wood with horn noses. The iron furniture deeply cut with elegant and elaborate rococo ornaments. Original wooden ramrods with horn tips. Finely preserved pair of pistols with delicately crafted iron mountings. Length of each 38 cm. The mark “I E K” can probably be ascribed to J. E. Klett of Zella St. Blasii. 253998 II + € 6.000 105
