A cartouche on the front with a delicately painted view of Kaiser Wilhelm Palace, its adjoining library and the equestrian monument of Frederick the Great, surrounded by a gold border. The imperial crown as the finial. Two handles on the sides in the shape of serpents with gold highlights. A fully sculptured leaf ornament on the base of the handle. The underside with the blue sceptre mark, the iron red imperial orb and “FOO” mark. The gilding rubbed. Dimensions 48 x 24 x 16 cm. Zweiteilige Vase mit königsblau glasiertem Fond. Auf oktagonalem Stand. Den Korpus ziert auf der Vorderseite eine goldgerahmte Kartusche mit fein gemalter Ansicht des Kaiser-Wilhelm-Palais mit anschließender Bibliothek und Reiterdenkmal Friedrichs des Großen. Die kaiserliche Krone als Bekrönung. Seitlich zwei partiell goldverzierte Schlangenhenkel. Henkelansatz mit plastischer Blattzier. Unterseite mit blauer Zeptermarke und Reichsapfel in Eisenrot sowie Pressmarke „FOO“. Gold berieben. Maße 48 x 24 x 16 cm. Das Palais wurde 1834-37 von Carl Ferdinand Langhans als Wohnsitz für Prinz Wilhelm von Preußen, späterer Kaiser Wilhelm I. (1861 - 1888), errichtet. 305
