| 389 A fine flintlock pistol from a German princely armoury, circa 1760 Round, slightly conical barrel with distinct central rib, smooth bore in 13 mm calibre. Engraved “B. May à Manheim” on the rib. The silverinlaid initials “CW” or “WC” within a wreath of leaves at the breech. Tang with finely cut rocaille decoration. The chiselled lock decorated all over: the plate featuring two reclining stags surrounded by rocaille. Trigger with adjustable set trigger, engraved “No. 1” on the inside of the trigger guard. Walnut full stock carved with fine scrolling foliage and rocailles, dark horn nose. Finely embossed brass mounts with hunting motifs on a chased background. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 36 cm. Miehich“ und unter der Batteriefeder mit „A Nassteten“ signiert. Leicht verschnittene Walnuss-Vollschäftung mit Messinggarnitur und hölzernem Ladestock. Mehrere kleine Reparaturspuren am Schaft.
