A German matchlock musket, circa 1630 Barrel octagonal, then round, smooth bore in 17.5 mm calibre. The muzzle with inserted original arsenal muzzle protector of wood and pewter, the leather cover renewed. Dovetailed rear sight, on the side a rectangular pan with swivelling cover and flash guard. Rectangular lock plate, the cock with a piece of the original match. Beechwood full stock with simple iron furniture. Owner’s name “Phillippus Shorn 1633” engraved on the left of the butt with matching house emblem, original wooden ramrod with iron tip. Length 158 cm.
