| 41 A black Suhl military wheellock puffer, circa 1570/80 The octagonal barrel turning to round, with a slightly flared muzzle. Smooth bore in 14.5 mm calibre. The barrel maker‘s mark “HW” with a hunting horn (Stöckel, no. 3161) struck at the breech. The wheellock with fully encapsulated wheel and safety lever. Pan with spring-loaded cover and release button. The lock plate struck with the mark “HS” and a trefoil (Stöckel, no. 3106). The blackened, burled full stock with inlays of engraved and blackened bone. The stock heavily restored with a repaired fracture on the forearm and on the butt, a replacement above the lock side plate. Some bone plaques have been replaced. Iron trigger guard, inset wooden ramrod with bone tip. Length 59.5 cm. 337124 II - III € 6.500
