Figdor, Wien“. A fine Tyrolean wheellock rifle with bone inlays, ca. 1700 Slender octagonal barrel slightly indented in the middle, the surface with old bluing. Eight groove rifled bore in 12 mm calibre. Dovetailed iron sight, fine pitting in some places at the breech. Lock with internal wheel, the lock plate with engraved hunting scene. Set trigger. Fruitwood full stock profusely covered with lavish inlays of engraved and blackened bone. Depiction of hunting and knightly scenes as well as running dogs and wild animals amidst scrollwork. The cheek rest with uninterpreted coat of arms flanked by angels. Patch box with spring-loaded lid. Brass furniture engraved with flowers, inserted wooden ramrod with brass tip. Length 107 cm.
