Red wool armband with black ribbed rayon tape borders, hand-applied. Cufftitle of black cloth band with 7-thread silver-aluminum borders, at centre “Elbe” hand-embroidered in silver-aluminum wire thread hand-applied. Right collar tab with skull hand-embroidered in silver-aluminum thread on black backing with silver-aluminum twist cord piping. Left rank tab with three silver metal pips, below a double strip of silver-aluminum litze with black centre stripe, on black cloth backing with piping in silver-aluminum twist cord, both tabs attached by four threaded screw posts and nuts. Single shoulder board of six twist aluminum cords on black wool backing, slip-on attached to cloth bridle, tongue shortened and sewn to base of board, retained with silver pebbled button attached to threaded screw post. Loops on breast pocket for three awards (1914 EK I attached). Lined in cream-color silk including sleeve linings, single inside breast pocket, opening into pocket for edged weapon suspension with cloth strap and chrome metal spring clip, RZM marked.
