218 | 5434 A Camouflaged Visored Field Cap for Waffen SS Enlisted/NCO Lightweight cap body and visor of waterproof duck cloth, reversible and printed in the planetree overprint oakleaf camouflage pattern with “summer” and “fall” color on opposite sides, fall side with folded edge serving as a sweatband. Two sets of pattern-matching insignia applied, “summer” side with separate eagle and skull machine-woven in green on black rayon, “fall” side with separate eagle and skull machine-woven in copper-brown on black rayon. Insignia is untrimmed, eagles with trapezoid and skull with square backing, all machine applied. Exceptionally rare cap, one of two known to exist. Size ca. 57 1/2 cm.
