Juli 1880 ausgeliefert und ging an das Waffengeschäft von M.W. Robinson in New York. Äußerst seltenes Revolvergewehr in schöner Erhaltung. Smith & Wesson 320 revolving rifle Cal. .320Long, SN. 254, barrel length 20”, slightly matte bore. Barrel bar with two-line company markings. Folding rear sight, dove-tailed front sight . Cylinder with six shots. Fore-end made of hard-rubber, marbled in red and black. Checkered hard-rubber grips and company logo. Original finish approx. 40%, all surfaces somewhat rubbed and 1099 patinated. Length 65 cm. Detachable shoulder stock slightly bumped, with nickel-plated, slightly spotted furniture and butt plate (this one also with company logo) of plastic. Comes with a copy of a company letter from the “Office of Smith & Wesson” dated 1992. Overall length 93 cm. The Smith & Wesson 320 Revolving Rifle was introduced in 1879 and built until 1887. Only 977 units were built and sold. The gun on offer here was delivered on July 9, 1880, to M.W. Robinson gun dealers in New York. A very rare revolving rifle in good condition.
