24 | BULGARIEN Zar Boris III. war der Sohn von Zar Ferdinand I. und bestieg 1918 den Thron, als sein Vater infolge der Niederlage Bulgariens im Ersten Weltkrieg abdankte. Das Aussehen der Ordensdekorationen änderte sich nicht. Nur der vordere Schriftreif zeigte statt der Jahreszahl 1915 drei fünfzackige Sterne. Deswegen wird die Dekoration auch als so genanntes „Dreipunkt-Modell” bezeichnet. Für die ersten Stufen der 3. und 4. Klasse konnten noch keineVerleihungen nachgewiesenwerden. Das DreipunktModell ist in allen Klassen sehr selten. Tsar Boris III was the son of Tsar Ferdinand I and ascended the throne in 1918 after his father’s abdication in consequence of Bulgaria’s defeat inWorldWar I. The visual appearance of the order decorations remained unchanged. Only the year cypher 1915 on the obverse inscription ring was replaced by three five-pointed stars, which gave it the epithet of “three-point model”.
