| 155 A shashka M 1909 for officers of the Russian dragoons with appliquéd Order of St. Anna, awarded for bravery The fullered blade with three addit ional grooves on both sides. The upper half of the blade etched on both sides, the surfaces blackened, the patterns originally gilt. A mounted Cossack as embellishment on the obverse, along with the crowned Cyrillic ruler’s monogram “NII” for Tsar Nicholas II and the quality certification “Eisenhauer”. The reverse with an officer on horseback, the tsarist coat of arms and the manufacturer “Alex Coppel Solingen”, the blade slightly stained. Brass knuckle-bow hilt (remnants of gilding) decorated with laurels, the tsarist cipher “N II”, the Cyrillic inscription (tr.) “For Valour” on both sides, an enamelled miniature of the Order of St. Anna appliquéd on the pommel (the enamel of themedallionpartiallydamaged). The leathercovered, wooden scabbardwith brass furniture. Comes complete with sword knot of St. Anna. Length 89 cm. 318158 II € 15.500 4217
