Description

Gouache auf Leinwand. Darstellung jeweils eines pilotierten Flugzeugmodelles vor blauem Himmel: Die englische Supermarine Spitfire bzw. die Me 109 der Luftwaffe. Beide unten rechts signiert und datiert "J. Batchelor 88". Eine kleine Reparaturstelle, ein paar winzige Flecken. Jeweils in hölzernem Profilrahmen mit Aufhängeschnüren. Bildmaße je 51 x 61, Maße gerahmt 60,5 x 70,5 cm. John Batchelor (1936 - 2019) war ein englischer Illustrator, berühmt für Querschnitte und detailgetreue Modelldarstellungen von Technik sowie seine Briefmarken-Entwürfe. Er arbeitete u.a. für die TWA und stellte seine Illustrationen für zahlreiche Magazine bereit.
