The slightly curved blade fullered on both sides (pitting) with a central groove. The Cyrillic abbreviation "TU" for Tula and the date "1827" engraved on the back of the blade. The brass knuckle bow with remnants of gilding. The fine Cyrillic inscription "For valour" engraved on the knuckle bow, possibly of later date. Leather-covered grip (small crack) wrapped with brass wire. Length 93.5 cm. See A. Kulinsky, Russische Blankwaffen, p. 120, fig. 169.
