Description

Parallelogram of bright red wool with three gold wire-embroidered oakleaves surrounded by a gold wire-embroidered open laurel leaf wreath with ribbon at base. Piped in golden-yellow cello twist cord. Worn of left collar. Insignia introduced for rank of SA-Stabschef in 1934 when Viktor Lutze assumed position after removal of Ernst Rohm. Illegible ink markings on reverse. Cf.
