The army eagle hand-embroidered in black on both sides, its plumage highlighted in brown, its beak and talons in braided gold embroidery in a field of cream-coloured silk, surrounded by an oak leaf wreath embroidered in silver, below which the Iron Cross, with four swastikas appliquéd in the corners. The banner cloth was ripped from the flag pole by the English as spoils of war in 1945, dimensions approx. 125 x 120 cm, soiled with storage marks and losses to the fabric.
