Description

Robust double-edged thrusting blade with slightly rounded point and flat fuller on both sides. "OVO" bronze inlay on one side, slight traces of other inlays on the other side. Long, straight quillons of square section. Robust, slightly conical tang, cove-edged shoulder. Solid iron Brazil nut pommel. Surfaces with dark age patina. Length 105.5 cm. A fine knightly sword from the age of the First Crusade.
