Description
The heavy skull forged in one piece with a rounded medial ridge, the upper edge flaring slightly, the brim turned under with a row of lining rivets. The leather lining made of chamois-dressed leather. Lightly pitted here and there, delamination in one place where the skull joins the brim. Dimensions 21 (height) x 37.5 (length) x 33.7 cm (width). Similar helmets to this example can be found in renowned collections, one such is in the holdings of the Museum Altes Zeughaus in Solothurn.
