Description

Octagonal to round barrel in cal. 18 mm, frosted bore. Brass front sight. The barrel bar engraved "G. Spleny". Smooth flint lock (with some pitting), with maker's mark "I. I. Behr". Varnished walnut stock with some dings and cracks, brass furniture. Wooden ramrod. Length 53 cm. See the standard book by J. Schuy on Austrian Service pistols, "Einschüssige Faustfeuerwaffen der österreichischen Streitkräfte", Vienna, 2000, pages 26 - 28, where this pistol is shown and described in detail.
