Description

Rectangular case of ebonised walnut wood with hinged lid. Openwork iron lock with hasp (key missing). The drawer front with nine oblong bone-plated drawers with tortoise-shell inlays in the shape of cherubs and dolphins. The bone plates densely decorated with fine grotesque masks. On the central door depiction of the Madonna on the Crescent Moon, crowned by a split gable decorated with painted vases and flanked by double pillars of conifer wood. The high rectangular drawers at the front bottom with depiction of angels looking up to the Madonna. Dimensions 62 (height) x 106 (width) x 40 (depth) cm.
