Description

Black patinated bronze, cold painted in bright colours. One hand and the face of ivory. On a base shaped like a rug. A jester sitting on an armchair and looking at a parrot perched on his finger. Armchair decorated with raised ornaments. The base inscribed and dated "F.ROSSE 88". Height 28.5 cm. Franz Rosse studied at the Staatliche Zeichenakademie in Hanau under Max Wiese and at the Berliner Akademie under Fritz Schape. He created several monumental works such as the Kaiser Wilhelm Denkmal in Rathenow. Expert report existent.
