On right side of frame marked "PATENT BITTNER" above logo inside oval "GBW" for Gustav Bittner, Weipert/Böhmen. Browned barrel, case-hardened frame, darker on lock plate, thin on back strap. Lightly spotted in places. Walnut grip panels, minimal defect bottom left. Complete with extremely rare loading clip. Very good overall condition.
Gustav Bittner in Weipert/Bohemia, owner of an arms factory of the same name, designed this repeating pistol in 1893. It did not turn out to be an economic success, very few were made, making it an exceedingly rare collector's item.
