Description

Cal. .44 S&W Russian, Nr. 6938, Matching numbers. Bright bore, drop barrel, length 6-1/2". Magazine with six rounds. Barrel rib signed "Ludw. Loewe & Co. Waffen- & Munitions-Fabrik Berlin", behind it acceptance mark "RA" encircled for Argentina. Original, strongly spotted finish, patinated on trigger guard and grip. Dark, smooth walnut grip panels. Lanyard loop. The weapon on offer originates from the "Smith & Wesson Museum Collection", label attached. Auctioned off at the S & W-Auction on the occasion of the museum's liquidation at Butterfield & Butterfield, July 1996.
