Description

Cal. 7,63mm Mauser, Nr. 4641, Matching numbers including grips. Matt bore. Manufactured in 1898. Proof-marked double crown/U with Oberndorf antlers. Sight leaf scaled 1 - 10. On chamber signed "Waffenfabrik / Mauser / Oberndorf a/N". Complete, original finish, minimally stained in places. Slight stock marks on back strap. Small and operational parts blued, stained. Hammer and housing etched grey. Dark walnut grip panels. Original lanyard loop. (Below right grip panel owner's name "E.J.Caslaing 4. Nov. 1898." Lowland Brigade Depot?)
Complete set with matching-numbered walnut stock, body without cracks. Fittings patinated, stained. Very good to near mint overall condition.
