Shield-shaped base, made of wood pieces, richly decorated in relief, stuccoed and gilt. Eagle in high relief on a bundle of lightning bolts in crowned coat of arms with collar. Behind the shield there are two long golden crossed sceptres, the right showing a three-finger salute as symbol of justice, the left the crowned Emperor Charlemagne with sceptre and imperial orb (broken, loosely enclosed). Mounted on the reverse a fastening iron. Partially damaged, signs of age. Height ca. 75 cm. Very representative.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
