Description

The wood covered in a thin layer of fabric and lacquered in the Italian national colours on both sides, the Italian royal coat of arms printed on both sides, riveted light alloy components. Slightly damaged in places, minor repairs, signs of age. Dimensions 130 x 81 cm. The Saiman 202 was a single engine aircraft developed by the Italian company Società Anonima Industrie Meccaniche Aeronautiche Navali (SAIMAN) at the end of the 1930s. Designed for the general aviation market, it was mainly used by Regia Aeronautica for training purposes during World War II.
Extremely rare find as they were only built for a short time (1938 - 1951).
