Description
Straight, single-edged blade with a double-edged point and several fullers on both sides. Remnants of decorative etching with depictions of riders and the barely legible motto "Vivat..." on both sides at the root of the blade. The rhinoceros horn quillons carved in one piece, the guard plate in the shape of a recumbent lion. The slightly curved arms of the quillons flaring out into grotesque masks. The grip in the shape of a crouching lion, one paw raised. Small copper riveted disc. The hilt with minor knocks here and there, a larger chip on the reverse where the quillons joins the grip.
