Description

Small reddish translucent carnelian with the incised figure of the helmeted Minerva to the right. Originally set. Minimal chipping on the back. Length 1 cm. Accompanied by a red ring stone. On the outside a three-line inscription in Greek "AURELIOU PISISTRATOU" - (seal of) Aurelius Peisistratos. Intact. Length 1.6 cm.

Provenance: From a Rhenish private collection.
