DescriptionAn impressive basalt relief with the figure of the goddess Kali facing the viewer, killing the buffalo demon. The many-armed deity is richly decorated and carries various attributes in her hands. Volcanic stone, Central Java, 13th/14th century. Breakout at the base, left rim slightly bumped. Otherwise intact. Dimensions 64 x 31 x 18 cm.
