Field tunic of khaki coloured cloth (minimal spotting) with cornflower blue pipings, two chest and two hip pockets with creases, buttons of non-ferrous metal with embossed crown, sewn shoulder boards of white cloth cord with black and red stripes, attached cloth aiguillette with white metal whistle, lining of ochre and grey felt (losses). The breeches made of the same material, with cornflower blue pipings on the sides (some buttons incorrectly replaced). Also a pair of desert boots of sand-brown cloth, brown leather (rubbed), with brownish enamelled metal mounts (with sporadic losses) as on the cartridge belt for riders in German South West Africa, hobnail leather soles. Partially somewhat damaged, signs of age. Very rare.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
