DescriptionBlack lacquered body of substitute material with gilt mounts (rubbed), square front peak. Screw-mounted helmet plate applied with a silvered star with enamelled medallion (cracks) featuring the Wurttemberg crown and motto scroll. Cruciform base with four star-stud retainers, spike neck with bead and reel frieze, and screw-mounted spike (small cracks and dents). Domed, leather-lined chinscales on push-through rosettes, officer's cockades of lacquered sheet metal. Red and green lined peaks, ochre coloured sweatband and silk rep lining, the shell with the old size number "55". Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Extremely rare helmet in fine condition.
