Description

Double-edged blade of lenticular section and short ricasso with double fuller. Passau wolf mark incised on one side, traces of brass inlays. The ricasso struck with four cross marks and "MLS" master mark on both sides. Spirally fluted crossguard with robust terminals, the side rings on both sides also spirally fluted. The grip with original leather cover, loss above the crossguard. Round blackened pommel chiselled with three scallops. Round tang button at top. Length 157 cm.
Rare Landsknecht combat sword made for use on the battlefield.
