Conical Kashan bowl and Kashan jug with cobalt blue stripe decoration on a white background and with transparent glaze, partly iridescent. The bowl glued from several fragments with a bird medallion painted centrally in the mirror. Radial blue stripes emanate from the rim, which in combination with the white ground form an aesthetically extremely appealing decoration. The outer wall is divided by eight vertical pairs of three stripes each. The jug, expertly assembled from several fragments, is also decorated with the vertically divided blue and white stripe pattern from the mouth to the stand ring. The flat shoulder slightly dented at the front. Adhering concretions in the area of the stand ring. Diameter of the bowl 19 cm, height 9.5 cm. Mouth diameter of the jug 8 cm, height 19.5 cm.

Provenance: From a private collection in the Rhineland, old family property, taken over from the collection of the father and partly from the grandmother. Large parts on loan to the Hetjens Keramikmuseum Düsseldorf in 1972.
