Description

Cal. .45 long Colt, SN. 43395 / 111904, the frame marked "F.C. / 111904", the grip "43395 / HN". Bright bore, barrel length 5½“. Six shots. Made in 1884/1878. On the barrel the one-line Hartford company address, three patents on the frame next to “U.S.”. Original bluing at the barrel and cylinder, slightly spotty, rotation marks, rear strap slightly spotty, front strap with hardly any bluing left. Dark smooth walnut grips, one small loss at front on either side. Government issue SAA's refurbished by Springfield Armory had their barrels shortened, while Colt refurbs were returned with a different serial number.
