Cal. 7,62x54R, SN. 0003 / H-8314. Hard chrome plated barrel bore in excellent, shiny condition. Barrel length 62 cm. Year of make 1979. Semi-curved magazine that holds 10 rounds. German proof marks from the Suhl proofing house, dated 1992. The adjustable iron tangent rear sight blocked with a tiny welding spot to 300 m (removable), according to German gun control act of the 1980ies, prohibiting sale of military grade rifles with sights going beyond 300 m. On the left hand side of the iron sight base maker's mark "SSG-WUM / Germany - 0003". Original, dull parkerized finish in very good condition, better 95%, with a few minor scratches. Hollowed-out thumb-hole shoulder stock of laminated wood with serrated, cupped iron buttplate, wooden forend and sling. Side-mounted Romanian 4 power scope, model LPS4x6° TIP 2, with rubber eye cup and ocular cap, in light-gray structured finish. Optically and mechanically ok. The entire gun in excellent condition.
