DescriptionOctagonal damascus barrels with smooth bores, cal. 19 mm, barrel length 150 mm. Original finish almost 100%, small surface scratches, very fine Damascus texture. On the left hand side London proof marks. On the barrel company name "E. & W. Bond. 45 Cornhill London", as applied by Edward & William Bond from 1826 to 1847 (cf. Stöckl, vol. 1, p. 120). Iron locks with hammer safety, the barrels secured with a wedge. The original finish > 97%, colour case hardening and fire bluing nearly perfect. Exceptionally finely engraved scrolling leaves on chased base, the hammers extremely well executed. En suite engraved iron furniture, butt caps with patchboxes. Fire blued belt hooks. Finely chequered butt stock of high-quality walnut wood. Hinged iron ramrods with finely engraved blossom bases. Mechanically sound. Length circa 29.5 cm.
In original wooden case (slightly bumped), lined with green fabric. The usual brass plate on the lid, with a dealer's label on the inside. Original bullet mould. No key. Dimensions 40.5 x 21.5 x 6 cm.
