DescriptionOctagonal, swamped barrel in fire blue finish. Rifled bore in cal. 15 mm. Dovetailed sights with folding rear sight. Scrolling bands and the signature "Caspar Zelner" finely inlaid in gold at the breech and near the muzzle. The tang with deeply etched, decorative tendrils and "1" on a gilt background. Gold-inlaid touch hole. The lock with delicately chased hunting motifs on a gold-inlaid, incised background. The lock plate with a depiction of a hunter, his hound baiting a stag. Adjustable set trigger. The full stock made of beautifully grained walnut, inlays of bird's-eye maple and light-coloured bone on the cheek piece and the lid of the patch box. The furniture with lavish relief decoration in gilt brass with engraved and finely chased details. The wooden ramrod with a gilt brass tip. Length 104 cm.
