Description
Round barrel with original bluing and offset bar, smooth bore in 16 mm calibre. At the rear sight and barrel root fine gold damascened scrolling leaves and grotesques. Over the chamber the portrayal of Athena on a bundle of trophies. Gold-inlaid signature "David Rue dela Perle à Paris", in front of that a struck Reich stamp "V" with crown. Gold damascened tang. Lock with engraved and chiselled ornaments on finely chiselled gilt base. Lock plate with repeated signature, pan cover with raised mascaron. Slightly carved full stock of finely grained walnut wood with original finish. Applied to the cheek a compass rose of bone and horn. Richly chiselled and engraved iron furniture with finely chased gold inlays. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 155 cm.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
