Description

Heavy, slightly conical octagonal barrel rifled with sixteen grooves in 18 mm calibre. Iron front sight, slender sight rail at the breech. The top of the barrel struck with the date “1628” and three unidentified marks. Wheellock with safety lever and folding fuse holder. Iron fingered trigger guard. Walnut full stock (old repair under the lock plate) with rich inlays of engraved and blackened bone. Portrayal of various wild beasts between scrolling leaves, on the underside a portrait cartouche. Butt plate of light-coloured horn, at the underside of the butt-stock two branded armory stamps “B:M”. Original ramrod with engraved bone cap and threaded iron sleeve. Length 165 cm, weight 12.2 kg.
