Bronze, with brownish-greenish patina and remainders of incrustation. Round barrel with reenforced chamber, the muzzle area slightly damaged. Smooth bore, cal. 16 mm. A diamond-shaped extension over the chamber probably constitutes the touch-hole. Short conical beak with remainders of the original stock. On a modern stand of oak wood. Length 53 cm.
Its primitive finish not withstanding this handgonne is very similar to the famous Tannenberg gun, and is thus one of the oldest firearms known.
