Description

Round and smooth-bore barrels in 16.5 mm calibre, chiselled at the breeches with trophy bundles in relief and set off by balusters, with cannon muzzles. The iron flintlocks chiselled in relief with rain-proof pans and engraved pseudo signatures on the lock plates. The walnut stocks profusely embellished with tendril-shaped, silver wire inlays, the heavy silver fittings in high relief, each bearing the tughra stamp of Mahmud II (1808-39). The silver, hammered barrel sleeves with indicated ramrods on the lower surface. An unusually elaborate pair of pistols with fabulous workmanship. Length 48 cm each.
