Description

Tunic of dark-blue wool, open collar with patch breast pockets and flap hip pockets, collar and cuffs piped in light-blue, Soviet star, hammer/sickle embossed golden buttons. Light-blue collar tabs, machine-applied with three diamond-shaped red stones and propeller with wings, piped in gold brocade. Left upper sleeve with hand-applied gold wire hand-embroidered flight insignia. Three gold chevrons, hand applied. Lined in grey with heavy padding. Greatcoat of dark-blue wool, open collar double-breasted, cuffs and collar piped in teal-blue, Soviet star, hammer/sickle embossed golden buttons. Teal-blue collar tabs, machine-applied with three diamond-shaped red stones and propeller with wings, piped in gold wire on upper edges. Left upper sleeve with hand applied gold wire hand-embroidered flight insignia. Three gold chevrons, hand applied. Includes "pilotica" sidecap of dark-blue wool, piped in bright blue. With machine-applied bright blue wool star, red enameled Soviet star attached. Blue rayon lining.
