Description

Cased non-portable silver award. Obverse depicts a soaring eagle clutching a swastika above a three-masted sailing ship, with an anchor at the bottom. Reverse stamped "CARL WILD HAMBURG" and silver content "990 S" (minor age marks). Dimensions circa 95 x 80 mm. Case of issue constructed of heavy cardboard stock covered with a dark red leatherette exterior. Interior of the lid lined in padded off-white silk. Blue velvet recessed award bed. Functional exterior metal hinge and push button catch (minor age marks). Dimensions circa 135 x 115 mm.
