Description

Nickel-plated blade with fullers on both sides, the obverse with etching (tr.) "9./A.R.5 Honour Prize Shooting Year 1932-33" and struck manufacturer’s mark "E.&F.Hörster Solingen", the reverse lavishly etched with flower ornaments and struck with manufacturer’s logo, the back of the blade marked "E.&F.Hörster, Waffenfabrik, Solingen". Gilt grip with stylised eagle’s head and feathers in relief, the nickel-plated press stud as an "eye", riveted staghorn grip scales. Black leather scabbard with gilt fittings and black leather frog. Length 37.5 cm.
Very rare edged weapon.
