Description

In the style of the ‘Vexillum’ of the Roman army, made of red silk (flaws) with fringes on four sides, on the obverse the Württemberg coat of arms finely hand-embroidered, held by a black lion and a golden deer, underneath it the blue motto banner (tr.) "Fearless and faithful", surmounted by the reserve cross embroidered in gold. On the reverse the crowned cypher "K" for Karl I. The flag pole inserted in the flag pocket and affixed with gold nails, surmounted by the attachment loop. Dimensions approx. 45 x 63 cm. Very rare cavalry standard.
