A helmet, a caparison and a dispatch case belonging to the aide-de-camp of Prince of Lippe

DescriptionBlack-lacquered leather skull (two continuous, visible holes near the cruciform base plate) with an angular front visor, silver-plated fittings, the visors lined in green and red respectively, the fine leather sweatband with silk rep lining, partly detached. A paper label on the inside reads "von Malaschowski - Flügeladjutant - b. Fürsten zur Lippe" together with an inventory number. Large guard eagle emblem with an appliquéd star, its medallion with a gold rose of Lippe on a dark background. Cruciform base plate with star-shaped screws, bead and reel frieze and a removable spike, convex scaled chinstraps on rosettes, officer's cockades. Extremely rare helmet with visible signs of age.
The caparison made of midnight blue cloth with a broad, silver braid trim, appliquéd with silver-plated roses of Lippe below the archducal coronet in the rear corners. An approx. 12 cm tear under one of the roses.
The dispatch case in brown leather with gold-embossed "Fürstlicher Flügeladjutant" below the archducal coronet. Three invitation cards and a sheet of writing paper with a letterhead for the aide-de-camp Oberst von Malachowski.
