Description

Leather skull lacquered in black (with minor craquelures), made of particularly fine material (the black inside naturally coarse) with angular front visor and fittings of silver-plated nickel silver (darkened, rubbed). Large guard eagle emblem with applied, partly enamelled guard star. Cruciform base with four golden star screws, fullered holder with white buffalo hair plume. Convex, leather-backed chinscales on rosette pins, both cockades of lacquered sheet metal. Dark green silk rep lining, ochre-coloured leather sweatband (traces of blue pen), rear visor with red and front visor with green underlay. Slightly damaged in places, traces of age, extremely rare.
