Description
Assembled from old and new components. Black lacquered leather skull (craquelures) with gilt brass fittings. Screw-mounted outline of an eagle, no banners, inscribed "Fuerst" and "Peninsula", appliquéd silver death's head (black velvet eyes), below which a reserve cross. Flat chinscales with leather underlay on rosettes, officer's cockades. Base plate with four star-shaped screws, pearl ring and smooth spike. The rear visor with red underlay, ochre-coloured silk rep lining (renewed) and reddish-brown leather sweatband, a paper label in the skull reads "Militair Cabinet Sr. Majestät des Kaisers u. Königs".
