Description

Small, angled meerschaum cigar holder. Delicate brass ring and eyelet, a white silk cord with tassel wrapped around the long walnut stem with a mouth piece of dark horn and cork connector for the cigar holder. Diameter of the cigar holder ca. 14 mm, overall length 40 cm.
Attached to the white silk tassel the business card of "Johann Hoschtalek - Leibbüchsenspanner Allh. Sr. Majestät" with Hoschtalek's handwritten note that the present cigar holder was exclusively used by the Emperor himself, dated Vienna, May 1915, bearing the handwritten signatures of Hoschtalek and Eugen Ketterl, the last valet of Kaiser Franz Joseph.
